Got screened by HR, and had two rounds of phone interviews with EXTREMELY technical questions of projects I've worked on and an example question they had for me. Make sure to ask a lot of questions about the position and the department, and consider sending in a portfolio or some example of project work in the past.

Interview
Applied online. Received an email a few weeks later to schedule a phone interview and submit and related documentation that I wanted them to look at. Interview was extremely technical and felt more like an oral exam. Probably more complex than it needed to be for the position.

Question 1
How would you design a fuel tank for a rocket that allows you to measure how much fuel is left after a test fire?
The process is straight forward I applied for a position and within a few weeks I had my first interview with a HR representative. After that I had my second phone interview that was more technical oriented. I was then flown out to the faculty for a site tour and face to face interview. If you get to the technical phone interview or face to face interview be prepared to be thoroughly tested on what you know.
