behavioral phone screen with recruiter, technical phone interview with manager, on-site interview consisting of 20-25 min technical presentation and 5-8 one-on-one technical interviews. If they don't like your presentation, they'll send you home after, otherwise you move onto the one-on-ones

Interview
After applying online, I was contacted by HR at SpaceX to set up a phone interview. The interview was a technical one. I was interviewed by a current structural engineer at SpaceX. He asked several questions regarding mostly beam theory. I thought it went well, but it was hard to gauge because the interviewer sounded like he didn't really want to be interviewing someone and was just reading a list of questions off of a piece of paper. After the questions he asked if I had any questions and the interview lasted about a half hour. Two weeks later I was contacted and told that I was not selected for the position

Interview
Human Resources was helpful in setting up a phone interview with the hiring manager for the group. The phone interview with the hiring manager took about 30 minutes and consisted of primarily technical questions and in depth explanations of the experiences/projects listed on your resume.
If you are interviewing with SpaceX for a full time, and what would be an associate/new grad position, I would make sure to study up on technical content. SpaceX wants to know that their applicants can do the job before they bring them in. This caught me off guard, but ultimately helped me in the long run since it gave me an idea of what to prepare for in future interviews.
If you do get the opportunity to work for SpaceX be prepared to work long hours. They expect a lot from their employees, but from what I've heard they also compensate them well.
This was only my experience with the company, and each hiring manger will most likely be different, so take this for what it is. A preparation tool to help you land a job.
