The interview process took sometime. I wanted to inform you reading this I have not had an interview in over 12 years so I might have been a little rusty but remember to prepare yourself and do your research on the company. During the whole process I had a Technical Recruiter keeping me informed of the progress and back briefing me on my interviews. Had several phone interviews that went well. I was asked to come to an in-person interview and they provided a hotel for the night prior which was very nice and close to the Hawthorne facility. I was reimbursed for the miles driving to and from the interview. While was there I had separate 1 on 1 interviews with several co-workers, managers, and engineers. All in 30 minute segments and most with different questions because they all would interact with the position in a different way. All of them were polite and none of their questions really shocked me, only a few that I had not dealt with but I informed them that of that. They all seemed very happy to work at SpaceX even with the long hours and working weekends, with a sense of pride that could be felt during the entire interview with each of them. I really enjoyed the tour of the facility, it just makes you want to work there even more. All the in-person interviews went well. I had 2 more phone interviews with 3 different people. I myself prefer to have in-person interviews because I am less nervous, so the phone interviews did not feel as good to me as the previous ones. After over a month of going through the interview process I was informed an hour after my last phone interview of the job offer. I would say overall it was a positive experience for me. If you do not have anything outstanding about yourself and do not know how to talk highly of yourself, you will have a very difficult time. Hopefully this helps you, good luck.
