The process took 1 week. I interviewed at SpaceX (Bastrop, TX) in Jan 2024
Interview
I applied to the role on LinkedIn. The role was for consumer hardware for Starlink. The SpaceX recruiter contacted me by email and set up a 30 min call. During the call, I was asked about my past experience, why do I want to work for SpaceX and other technical questions.
The interview was easy and the recruiter had a "Bro" kind of attitude, which made it feel very informal. All questions were over the phone.
4. You have two parallel plates fastened together by a bolt threaded to the second plate. What failure mode is likely to occur if we have a load on the plate? How can you reinforce the strength of this mechanical system.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SpaceX (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
My 1st interview was phone call with recruiter. It included talking about background info and question regarding resume. Second was more technical with a few engineers, did not get a third interview,
I was invited to the final round and then never heard from the recruiter again. Otherwise, I'd say the interview process was very thorough and a fun experience. I had about 4 interviews before being invited to the final round.
