I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at SpaceX (Hawthorne, CA) in Jul 2025
Interview
First round was basic background questions and why I applied. Second round has me answer some technical questions, mostly basic knowledge questions with a few more reach/theoretical solutions probing. I didn’t feel particularly put-off or engaged with the interviewer.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SpaceX in Aug 2025
Interview
The interview process is pretty demanding and thorough. It's a total of 4 interviews, the last one if you get there is in person. You are pitted against applicants at every turn, so be ready for that. The first interview is pretty straightforward. The interviewer asks some basic questions like tell me about yourself, why Spacex, 5 year plan, etc. They then go into a 20 technical question section where they see where you rank compared to other interviews and its about fluids, heat transfer, beam questions and material properties. They do tell you if you got it right or wrong though

Question 1
Mainly beam questions like: Where is the max stress on a cantilever beam with an end load, when cantilevered, which shape has more stress, a circular cross section or a hollowed tube cross section, ideal cross section of a beam to limit stress, etc.
I interviewed at SpaceX (Boca Chica and Medford Colonia, TX)
Interview
Very kind. They made very nice conversation and related to me on a personal level before delving into my resume and technical questions. It's clear they work hard and love what they do.
