A manager reached out to me and we had a thirty minute conversion about my work. At the end, he offered me a job in his department. The day after the recruiting team did a background check and then sent me the paperwork to sign and return: offer letter, I9, W4, NDA. I had a couple of followup questions and the team was very responsive, setting up another phone call with the manager to discuss more the details of my position and working with each other to move my application along.
From my understanding and talking with others in this process, I know that this is atypical for their interview process.
