I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2016
Interview
Half hour phone interview with recruiter, followed by a half hour phone interview with hiring manager. Called in for 1.5 hour onsite interview which consisted of 3 half hour meetings. Called back for mock presentation for 1 hour with 3 people.
Group was very professional and respectful. I especially appreciated the breakout of the onsite sessions so that they could be attended over a lunch break rather than taking a full day off my current job.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (Denver, CO) in Oct 2023
Interview
I applied online and the interview process was 4 stages lasting 1 month: Call with Recruiter 30 min with the Hiring Manager 1 hr with hiring manager and one other manager to review CV in detail 1 hr Panel presentation with hiring manager and two other managers *Prior to the panel presentation the hiring manager offered to meet to discuss the project, answer questions, and set expectations. This was incredibly helpful and unique from other interview processes I'd experienced.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
In the first two interviews I was asked standard questions about myself, my career, my experiences and why I thought I was a good candidate. The third interview went very in-depth into my CV and gave me the chance to talk about my past jobs (what I was hired to do, ways I succeeded, things I learned, times I messed up and how I handled it etc). The final interview was a panel presentation. I was given a brief with four sections and asked to present and manage the meeting - very good insight into the role!
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Slack (Londres, Inglaterra)
Interview
There were 4 stages:
Call with recruiter
Interview with hiring manager
Interview with hiring manager and one other to review CV in detail
Panel presentation to 4 stakeholders
They kept me in the loop and provided feedback after each stage but it was a very long process, taking 2-3 months. After this time it was then put on hold and they had a confusing explanation for this with poor and slow communication. I would not recommend or work for them based on how they treated me as a candidate who had put a huge amount of time and effort into the process.

Question 1
Every part of your CV will be reviewed to understand your decision making and self awareness
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (New York, NY)
Interview
Two phases: 1. Chronological Interview 2. Presentation.
You are sent an email with a Zoom invite for the Chrono interview. Several people may attended. I was expecting them to close the loop and never heard back from any of the interviewers or recruiting. I did reach out to the recruiter via email and "crickets". Meanwhile, I am moving forward with other interviews and presentations.
