The recruitment process for this Data Scientist Gen AI position was excruciatingly long and poorly managed, stretching over two months. While I must unequivocally state that the HR representative was highly professional and meticulous, and the interviewers themselves were genuinely nice people whose conversations I enjoyed, their individual qualities were tragically undermined by a fundamentally flawed system. The process comprised an initial HR interview, followed by a burdensome technical assignment that felt like unpaid work, then two technical interviews which were frustratingly redundant, an HR culture check that felt intrusive given the lack of clarity on their end, and a culminating manager interview. This arduous, drawn-out process concluded with an utterly absurd and infuriating rejection, citing a supposed lack of seniority – a reason that completely contradicted my consistent transparency and candid self-assessment throughout all prior stages. This glaring inconsistency and inefficiency are a testament to their internal disorganization, not any failing on my part.
