      Senior Product Owner Interview

      May 27, 2019
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sixt

      Interview

The interview process went very smoothly and everything was really professional until they made an offer. The interview process starts by a screening call with a HR recruiter where they ask you salary expectations upfront. It is then followed by a phone call with the hiring manager and then an on-site interview with the team. As I mentioned before, all the conversations up to this point were very extremely professional and well structured. The hiring manager then left the whole salary negotiation with the HR and things took a turn for the worst. HR made an offer 15k less than what I had mentioned as my salary expectation in the screening interview, I responded by rejecting the offer and they started the counter offer process by offering increments of 1k EUR. At this point there was no value in continuing the negotiation any further and I terminated the negotiation process.
