Less of an interview and more of a lecture - twice. I was talked at by the interviewers for 80% of the time spent across two interviews. Across these same two interviews, I was given two very different (often conflicting) descriptions of the company's culture and working style.
What I not given was any clarity around the role for which I was being interviewed - key deliverables, pain points, success measures, even the line manager of the role was not shared - and on both occasions I was left with no time to ask any questions at the end of the interview.
Utterly shambolic and a huge waste of time, The recruiter representing me told me that they have struggled to fill this role for some time. Hardly surprising given that 1) they have very different ideas about the type of company they are, 2) they clearly do no know what they're looking for, 3) they're clearly not aligned on what they're not looking for, and 4) they're not actually given interviewees the opportunity to ask questions that may help them figure this out.
All in all, a woeful experience.
