It was a online assessment, asking numerical questions and personal questions in order to match companies profile with your profile. I pretty sure they hire only people that has studied in Canada, and or has done internships with them. I think is quite normal, but they are missing out a lot of good candidates.

Consisted of a job insights video interview assessment with a mixture of both competency and strength based questions. This takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. Involves the typical video interview questions such as “Why this company?” Or “why this role?”
