I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Shell (Houston, TX) in Jan 2024
Interview
I think I would have had a more positive interview process if they had closed the job posting. I had prepped for the interview (Hirevue) for a decent amount of time, then submitted it only to be emailed back two days later stating that there weren't anymore job openings in my country (US).

Interview
The interview process focses on behavioral assessments and technical screenings. Candidates are tested on the "CAR" method, focusing on safety, leadership, and on job competence through structured and in depth questions.
The first round is a recorded video interview. You need to record some videos based on their questions. There were 3 questions or me, which is not very unique. About your project, your interest in Shell.
I recently completed a video interview on HireVue, and the overall experience was pretty interesting. The platform presented a large number of psychological assessment questions along with several prompts focused on workplace morality and ethical decision-making. I appreciated that HireVue allowed unlimited time to record and re-record my video responses, which took a lot of the pressure off and made the process feel more flexible and less rushed.
Each portion of the interview was fairly in-depth and required thoughtful answers, so it ended up taking around 30 minutes per section. The combination of the structured assessments and the freedom to redo videos made the entire interview feel thorough but manageable.
