The interview process starts with a recruiter from Shell calling you through the phone. Initially, they will ask you to make an account in the Shell website and input the necessary information there, including your resume. After the recruiter reviewed your resume, they will call you up again and set a date for the official telephone interview. If you pass, you will be called for a personal interview.

Question 1
The first part of the interview is just general questions regarding yourself, your career, your achievements and even your downfalls. The hardest question they will give to you is to choose on four different topics on which should be answered as if you are a decision maker in a multinational company. Take note that the four topics may vary from the ones you are currently seeing in the responses of other glassdor users. So, you really have to be prepared and quick on your thinking. The follow up questions also vary and are unpredictable.

Virtual Job Tryout and On Demand Interview
The first assessment in the application process is the Virtual Job Try-out (VJT) and the On-Demand Video Interview (ODVI). You need to submit your responses within 7 days of receiving the initial invite.

The procedure was straightforward and fast. There was an assessment that needed to be completed and video interview questions. Questions were asked about motivation for working in Shell and general interview questions about motivation.

Redelijk eenvoudig te volgen sollicitatieprocedure, duidelijke instructies, inclusief filmpjes waarin je jezelf moet opnemen. Assessment is prettig en te doen. Wel onduidelijke communicatie vanuit de organisatie zelf. Geen duidelijke afwijzing, communicatie wazig en organisatie verder niet te bereiken.
