I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sephora (Walnut Creek, CA) in Sep 2017
Interview
It was very great. The manager was very kind and professional and made me feel comfortable through the whole thing. She took the nerves right out. As long as you have a very fit resume and cover letter as well as coming looking very clean and professional, the interview will start good just because you took time out into making a very great impression of yourself.
I applied online. I interviewed at Sephora (Saskatoon, SK) in Dec 2016
Interview
The interview was 100% scripted, which isn't uncommon, but the interviewer wasn't experienced enough to be able to use the information from the questions to dig further, or to tailor the questions more successfully to really get to the information she needed to make a decision. She was also unable to determine on the fly which questions might be irrelevant or already answered - essentially, the interview process was easy but ineffective.
She was clearly not confident or comfortable in an HR role, and as such, the interview was less effective than it could have been.
