I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sephora (Las Vegas, NV) in Jun 2012
Interview
I walked in to a Sephora and asked to speak with a manager about possibly hiring opportunities. I was given a application and filled it out on the spot. When I handed it to her, I was immediately invited to come back in a couple of days for a group interview. The interview consisted of 4 or 5 other people. We were asked basic customer service and behavioral questions. I was called back in a couple of days and offered a position.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
All the questions were relatively easy if you have worked in the retail and customer service industry. Since the company has a very flexible return policy, they will probably ask you a behavioral questions along the lines of how you would handle a customer return that seemed unethical.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sephora (Los Angeles, CA) in Jan 2020
Interview
They ask about past beauty experience, as well as your brand knowledge and customer service experience. It’s important to talk about versatility and being flexible with your schedule. Overall, it is a pretty low stress interview.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Sephora (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2012
Interview
Ok, very quick view process and the actual sit down and just general questions about retail job doing the same thing the questions were too lengthy process wasn't too bad
