Security Center Operations Senior Analyst Interview

      Jul 12, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Atlanta, GA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Secureworks (Atlanta, GA) in Feb 2014

      Interview

After an initial basic screening with a recruiter, an in depth technical screening is scheduled with a team member. I believe this technical screening may also be performed by the recruiter. The questions include one third Networking, one third Security, and one third Linux questions. The Networking questions include common services, ports, and TCP/IP knowledge. The security questions include common exploits, malware types, and IDS related questions, and the Linux portion is fairly basic Linux management and file system type questions. The next stage of the interview is a face to face interview with at least two team managers. Here they ask questions ranging from "what is your home lab setup" to "where do you get your security news from?" to "name a recent malware or exploit."
