I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sam's Club (State College, PA) in Oct 2011
Interview
They are fairly quick to give you a call back. You are called in for a primary interview and usually sat in the cafe or an office (if available). The questions are pretty general, similar to most other interviewing processes. If you seem to be a good candidate they will either schedule a secondary interview or conduct it immediately following your primary interview with a manager. You will have to have a drug test done which usually takes about a week to get back. And after that you will begin your training process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Not a completely unexpected question, but sometimes difficult to answer if you don't have supervisory experience: "Tell me about a situation that you had a problem completing your work due to a distraction and how you managed the situation and finished your work."
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Sam's Club (Nashville, TN) in Sep 2012
Interview
the hiring process was odd, we did a group interview. This may have been becuase they were doing thier seasonal hiring at the time. In the interview there were about 8 applicants and myslef, we wereeach asked a question one at a time. The questions were very standard, some very easy others a bit more challenging. My question was what would you do if you were scheduled to work and yoyr car wouldn't start? Super easy!
