I applied online. I interviewed at Sam's Club (Seattle, WA) in Mar 2016
Interview
I interviewed in WA (where there are only three stores, state-wide). I found the interview very casual and comfortable. The woman (I will keep her name private) was very nice and welcoming. The only downside was she rambled on about membership upsales, giving me the impression that the location needed more upgraded memberships and doesn't have the staff comfortable to do so. I was only asked three questions. I was then given an employment offer, signed consent for my background check and given paperwork to take my drug test. I was told I had 24hrs to take my drug test and given instructions on the process.
I worked for Walmart, 8yrs prior; only for 3 months (I left due to emergency circumstances, causing me to suddenly move three hour away). Unbelievably, that process was much harder. I was offered less than half the wage, had to wear a uniform and went through a 3 interview process at Walmart. Not to mention, Sam's is cleaner, more organized and not open 24-7. I mostly have experience in union grocery stores (I am journeyman) but I was offered more than what I desired hrly (with no union dues) and scheduling wise. I am quite content with Sam's.
I should add I wasn't looking for more than 20hrs a week.

Interview
Interviewed with a supervisor first, followed by the manager on duty. I learned afterwards that the position I was applying for had been filled earlier that day, however they offered me another position which I accepted. The interviewers were both very casual and easy to talk to, and the interview happened in the cafe area, instead of an office somewhere, which helped keep me relaxed.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sam's Club (Denton, TX) in Jul 2012
Interview
Your typical interview for a retail store position. I was asked basic questions about work history and experience, and was asked to describe what I did in certain situations related to customer experiences. Most of the questions were geared towards customer service.. It was very laid back, and I felt comfortable throughout the entire process.
