The interview process started off well until the system design round. The first round was a telephonic conversation, which went smoothly. It was followed by a coding round that included some technical questions and one easy LeetCode-style problem. The third round focused on Salesforce-related technical questions and included one more coding problem—overall, a relevant and fair round. However, the final round—the system design interview—was disappointing. The interviewer did not even let me complete my self-introduction. Despite my profile clearly being focused on Salesforce development, he started asking Docker-based system design questions, which felt completely misaligned with the role. It seemed like he had already made up his mind to reject, without attempting to understand my background. It’s important that interviewers are aligned with the domain they're assessing. In this case, the interviewer lacked knowledge of Salesforce, which made the entire round feel unfair and irrelevant.
