I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sam's Club (San Marcos, TX) in Jun 2012
Interview
The person that first interviewed me, a team lead, seemed laid back and easy going, but then again it was his last day of work there for the store. The section manager that hired me seemed very insecure around me. I later learned from one of my references that he basically asked her if I was a sociopath? So not the most professional of people. He left the company about a year later if I remember correctly. Was interviewing for the Electronics Associate position but they put me into Hardlines instead with the (false) promise that I would be working more in Electronics then Hardlines. I believe they did this because Hardlines employees make less per hour then Electronics employees do.

If you don't impress them on the first try then they will give you the worst job they need feeling (I.E. Carts or Register). Once you pass the first interview they will call you back to meet with a manager where they will finalize everything as well as tell you to go get a drug test at so and so place.
