Quick and easy, exactly what I needed at the time. I would like to be interviewed this way again. It is especially great because I did not have much job experience prior to this one.

Question 1
If you saw an employee painting his or her nails then placed it back on shelf what would you do
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Sally Beauty (Indianapolis, IN) in Sep 2018
Interview
* Submitted CV through their website for an out of state job.
* I was emailed 2-3 wks later to schedule a phone interview.
* Phone interview with DM was an hour. She really liked me, was desperate to hire someone for that store, as there was no manager for months & she even gave me tips on how to speak to her boss, the RM.
* Interview with the RM went well, was 20-30 min & he was forthcoming about being ambivalent about hiring me as I hadn't worked in retail in decades.
* Had another 1-hour phone interview with the DM. She wanted to Skype, but we couldn't get it working that day, so she asked me to post a social media pic after our interview, which I did.
* I was offered the job 2-days later.
* The whole process was about 4-6 wks.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
* Sally's mngrs are very skilled at interviewing & follow documentation on q's.
* (Note: I've interviewed for about 10 mngmt jobs in the past & had the same q's). I was also given said documentation when I began as a mngr to hire PT employees.
* They're thoughtful q's, not the standard 'tell me about yourself' essay type q's. Google a list of interview q's & rehearse answers, as they will ask about how you handled specific situations, a list of your strengths & weaknesses, why they should choose you, what you have to offer the position, why you chose Sally's & which other co's you've applied to, what you hope to achieve in your role, give examples of how you turned a sale around, give an example of conflict resolution with employees, how you'd handle a handful of employee issues, etc. It's pleasant, they keep you on your toes & they are very thorough.
