Advice:
* If you are going to apply for a role at Salesforce, make sure you get referred by an existing employee. Apparently, 60% of people getting a job at Salesforce have been referred. Internal recruiters have to talk to you within a specific timeframe (e.g. 1 week) if you are referred
* Understand the company values and be ready to talk about how you support/have supported those
* Don't lie on your CV. Extensive background checks are done on new joiners, including past experiences, education (regardless of how long you have been working) etc. Initial CV will be used
Interview process:
1) Quick call with internal recruiter to go over some facts, check CV and previous pay/package
2) 1 hour call with future colleague (someone in a similar position) to go through competency-based questions. Fairly casual discussion, with opportunity to ask questions
3) 1 hour call with future manager. Fairly casual discussion, with opportunity to ask questions
4) 1 hour call for a panel presentation to 3 or 4 people in various roles. A number of scenarios are given in advance, candidate needs to choose one and prepare some slides. Discussion might stay on the scenario presented but also may be questions about previous experiences
5) Verbal offer a few days later, followed by written offer
Overall process took 5 weeks, from the first call with the recruiter to getting a verbal offer.
