      Account Executive Interview

      Jan 14, 2026
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Salesforce in Jan 2026

      Interview

I got introduced through an employee referral. Spoke to a sourcer first - basic career overview, what you're looking for. After that I got introduced to a recruiter, who walked me through the rest of the process in a non-evaluative conversation. The last two steps were a 30 minute conversation with a hiring manager, then a 45 minute presentation on myself, a deal I've closed, how I'd approach the territory. Super efficient process overall - really only two evaluative interviews. Everyone I spoke to was warm and friendly. My recruiter was responsive and helpful. The presentation was by far the most difficult part of the process. If you get to this stage, I would recommend getting as much feedback as possible, ideally from people at Salesforce. As awkward as it is, also recommend actually saying what you're planning to say out loud and timing yourself. This isn't a role play or mock sales call like most sales presentation interviews tend to be - but felt there is a bit of role play involved. My take is that they want to see that you can push through somewhat disengaged executive buyers and still get your main points across. Also, be sure to close the interview aggressively. I explicitly stated we would discuss next steps during the agenda, before my last slide, and then did the actual close at the end of the interview. Lastly, they're looking for people who are very excited to be at Salesforce. You kind of have to buy into the idea that you've never done anything like it before and that it's better than working anywhere else. They like to hire enterprise reps into SMB/Mid-market roles because they can attract the talent.

      Interview

pretty easy interview. Had to do a case. It felt like it was just a formality and they put me up to it to fit into their standard processes. Not the best experience but it is what it is

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce (Londres, Inglaterra)

      Interview

There was a massive lag between the first and second round through the internal recruiters. Then the one with the hiring manager was dreadful, he showed up 10 minutes late to the Zoom and then said ‘I hadn’t even prepared for this, let’s go through your cv now’.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Salesforce (Bengaluru) in May 2026

      Interview

I went through two rounds of interviews at Big Gigantic, including a detailed presentation, and was disappointed by the lack of transparency and communication. The role was pitched as significant but the offer reflected a supporting position, with compensation packaged in a way that reduced the actual hike to about 16%. HR did not disclose the budget upfront, dismissed concerns about responsibilities versus pay, and simply stated “people are in line, accept or reject.” For a prestigious brand, this rushed and dismissive approach from HR felt unprofessional and undermined the candidate experience.
