After a behavioral interview on campus, I was invited to fly down to Houston to interview at Schlumberger's Rosharon campus. I was given a 90 minute tour and then asked to give a 7 minute research presentation on my Master's research. Afterwards I had 4 45 minute interviews with project leaders. The interviews were casual, and I was allowed to take them in any direction I liked. I found success by talking through some of my previous designs, making full use of the whiteboards in the interview rooms. They were very conversational interviews. Others in my group were asked some specific questions, however, including "calculate the height of a oil pipe that would fail under its own weight" and "calculate the pressure at the bottom of a column of liquid". The most difficult task others were asked to do was to demonstrate their knowledge of GD&T by explaining a part drawing that was given to them.
