I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SLB (Houma, LA)
Interview
Applied on-line, recruiter contacted me 1-2 months later. one month after that I was asked if I wanted to interview for a position. I accepted, had 2nd interview via on-line video. Interview was easy and relaxed, expected you to know a little about the job and the company. Really wanted know if being away or traveling a lot would be an issue, wanted to know if you were hands on kind of person.

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SLB (Alfred, NY) in Oct 2014
Interview
The interview process was fairly extensive and seemed to successfully eliminate candidates who lacked the motivation or requirements to perform at a high level. My interview experience went as follows: Met with recruiter at career fair and submitted resume - Was invited for one-on-one interview with recruiter the following day - Was invited for second interview in Tulsa, OK which lasted 3 days and included group activity - Was offered job the week following my interview in Tulsa.
Overall, the interview experience provided a lot of information about the company, culture, and lifestyle; all of which were fairly accurate in comparison to life after taking the job.

Question 1
Suppose you have a balance (scale) and you have five seemingly identical spheres of an unknown mass. Four of the five spheres have the same mass, while one is slightly different, but cannot be distinguished by simply feeling them. In as few trials as possible, how would you determine which of the five spheres has a different mass?
Draw me a picture and explain your thought process.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at SLB (Houma, LA)
Interview
I actually had to go to 4 interviews. The first 2 were semi-formal and just getting to know you and they are usually held locally where they are recruiting. The 3rd was a formal interview which was held at one of their training schools in Tulsa, Oklahoma which spanned 3 days that involved presentations describing the company and its culture and on the last day was the formal face to face interview. The 4th interview was held in Houma, Louisiana at your potential work base where you get a one-on-one with your potential future manager and get a tour of the facilities and meet a few of your potential work mates. Note that during the 3rd and 4th interview all travel, lodging, and meals are provided or paid for by SLB.
