I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at SAS (Cary, NC) in May 2015
Interview
The interview process for this role was very easy. It starts with a background check to verify that you have a background in Design, most preferably from the NC State School of Design.
You will be asked to provide a brief "art show" of your most proud projects and asked to explain how you believe your ideas will "delight" the user of your imaginary product. Don't worry about this part, as it's all very subjective in nature. There are no right or wrong answers to this section of the interview.
The most difficult part of the process is when you're asked general questions about your background and who you know at SAS. Being related to, or even tangentially acquainted with an employee of political importance is greatly beneficial. Perhaps you attended an event where a member of the founding family spoke. Mention it! Be sure to gush about how much you admire that person and all they've done in society.
The interview concludes. You should receive an offer within a few days.
