I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SAS (Raleigh, NC) in Mar 2025
Interview
This was a relatively simple interview overall. I first received an asynchronous video interview, where there were four simple questions to answer (not particularly technical, more related to past experiences). After that round, there was an hour long conversational interview with a panel of three employees from the team I was applying for. We talked for the whole hour, going back and forth between them asking me questions about the experiences listed on my resume, and then talking about what the team specifically did. I heard back the day after that interview.

Question 1
Where do you see your career in the next five or ten years?
The interview process was a Hirevue consisting of a few behavioral questions, and then a final round interview with your manager and a few Senior engineers. I would say the final round interview was a mix of behavioral and technical questions, mostly about your projects, experiences, and technologies you're familiar with.

Question 1
Walk me through a project on your resume and explain what specific tools/libraries/frameworks you used
I was drawn to SAS for the unique company culture. The interview process was very synonymous with that. I was not asked a technical question at all. I had a phone screen and then I was called in for an interview with 2 other individuals. One was HR and one was a manager.

Question 1
There was not really an unexpected question that I was asked. Their responses were the typical behavior interview questions. The most that they asked me was technologies I used on a core project.
