The process took 3 months. I interviewed at SAP (Walldorf, Baden-Wurttemberg)
Interview
The process was very long.
I applied online and after a few days I received a phone call from a recruiter. She proposed a time for an interview in three weeks.
I had a phone interview with a hiring manager and it was rather good. Quite pleasant conversation and the managed also wanted to describe his team tasks, that was actually very interesting position and I honestly said that to the manager. He also gave me positive feedback after the interview and promised to come back very soon with further steps.
However, no one ever called back. After a month I called to SAP careers help line, hoping to reach HR about the status. It looks like SAP uses trainees to pick that phone, as person replied was not really helpful and only confirmed the application is "in process" and someone will call me back soon. Only after two months I got standard and system generated reply that I was not selected, with no reasons explained. Recruiter however did reply to my email and told that position was closed because of budget cut. Which I doubt to be the real reason as position was opened for almost half a year.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at SAP (Bengaluru) in Jun 2015
Interview
2 technical rounds, 1 management round, 1 HR round.
Reporting time for the interview was 11 am. The first technical round was conducted for a position in ariba(acquired by sap). For the second round, people from sap's main teams were the interviewers.
This was followed by a manager interview and an hr interview. Each was an elimination round. A lot of delays in conducting interviews was observed. The HR personnel lost my profile after first round delaying the process.
