Interview
Application made online. The process until the interview was formal and professional. Interview and later follow-up were unprofessional. It was an online interview. Interviewers were looking tired; they weren’t well prepared. Their dress was casual, but one of the interviewers too casual. This was the first negative sign for me. I had struggle hearing them sometimes, the issue continued throughout interview. And yes, I was sure about my computer. Behavioural questions weren’t fulling, they weren’t too bad but felt a little bit inadequate. Technical part was weird. Two aircraft mentioned on technical questions but given values were out of flight envelope of these two aircraft. The questions weren’t exactly about those two aircraft, they were probably there to give an example. But questions would make a different sense with given aircraft type. Throughout the interview I felt like I was the driving force. Despite communication issues they didn’t not show any empathy. In the last question I struggled a lot, because I didn’t understand what they actually want to know. They provided a little information after my struggle. The way of information given and information itself was confusing too. Eventually, I provided an answer with basics of aircraft physics. It was a simple and quick answer question but lack of professionalism took some time to give an answer, probably the answer wasn’t even what they wanted to hear. Despite multiple follow-ups request they sent automated rejection mail after three months of interview. Overall, it was a negative experience. They kept the level of distance same, which was the most professional think they did during interview. They were expecting someone less analytical and someone paying less attention to details, I think. I really want to know what were their thoughts about my CV before interview. They should pay quite an attention to the interview process.

I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Rolls-Royce (Berlín)
Interview
Applied online, it took 3 months to get an interview. One of the interviewers calling in while traveling with bad connection, almost impossible to have a meaningful conversation. Another 3 months to find out I was rejected in the portal, not even an automated email (seriously?!). Big waste of time.
