Rolls-Royce Engineer Graduate interview questions

Day begins with a 5 minute presentation about yourself, followed by a half hour interview about your motivations and rolls royce knowledge. Then there is an hour technical interview looking at different topics and tasks. It's all concepts covered in 1st and 2nd year so nothing too hard, and the examiner helps and prompts you along. Familiarising yourself with engines and basic concepts is a good idea. Then there is a group assessment, they are looking for you to contribute but not dominate. The task is basically impossible to complete in the time limit so it's more about how you work together as a team than anything else!

Day was split up into 4 areas. Firstly you get to meet the other candidates and the assessors, before being taken through the itinerary for the day. In my assessment centre there was 10 of us and 5 assessors and we each had to do a presentation followed by a Q+A, then a competency and technical interview that took about an hour which was difficult but along as you know about are-engines you should be okay. Finally, there was a group exercise to end the day where you are split into 2 teams and have to manufacturing paper planes for a fictional company while the assessors watched. Overall was an excellent experience and well organised day.
