Interview
I got an email and then scheduled an interview. She was late but finally emailed after half an hour that she didn't remember and then asked if I wanted to postpone or I am available. Then she scheduled couple of sessions with her colleagues and her boss. I got the job but didn't go.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Roche (Penzberg)
Interview
About 1 month from application to the on-site interview. Interview started with presentation on my work, followed by Q&A session (first 5-10 min with entire audience, then about 30 min with only hiring team). Finally, I had about 1 hour interview with an HR colleague, which was, as usual, personality-based. They offered the position to me within 2 weeks after interview, I accepted happily.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The questions were clever and probing, the group is clearly full of interested, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic people. The questions ranged from my past experiences as they relate to the position and why I am interested in it, where I see myself in a few years, to asking me to do thought experiments and pitch ideas on-the-spot about topics that were partially or directly related to the problems that the team is interested in.
