I was messaged on LinkedIn saying I would be a good fit and asked to get on a call to discuss the role. Then she changed it to an in-person interview. I showed up and their offices were closed due to Covid. The hiring manager was 10 minutes late and said it was because she was used to working from home (no idea why she suggested an in-person interview if the role is going to be WFH but whatever). There was another person from the branch in the interview as well. She didn't ask for my resume or anything prior to the meeting. They only asked me two questions the entire time and the hiring manager talked most of the time. She spoke so fast and used recruiting terms and acronyms that I had no idea what they meant since I am new to recruiting. It was very chaotic and hard to keep up with her talking so fast. She kept reiterating that you need to be "financially motivated" in this position. What I took away is that RH wants you to work all the time to meet your quotas and not have any down time or a very good work/life balance. The hiring manager didn't explain the next steps at all and I had to ask about them. She also referred to candidates as "bottom of the barrel" since they are sourcing people from unemployment. The entire experience was chaotic and felt very rushed. If they contact me about moving to the next steps, I will have to respectfully decline.
