I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Robert Half (Chicago, IL) in Sep 2020
Interview
Very straight forward. Asked to explain professional experience, previous work environments, comfort level with specific technologies of the potential employer. Inquired about previous team structures and my personality (ie. What would bosses/teamates say about you?).
Phone interview, it started with just talking about myself and where I grew up, then basic questions about college and past history. We got into some people skills to see if I was a good fit.
The interview process is thorough and organized. They’ll help you prepare for the actual job interview with the company they’re working for. But, if you don’t land that job, you’ll basically get ghosted and won’t be offered another opportunity.
As if not landing one job is being judged as you’re not good enough for any other.
Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. The recruiter gets a cut when you get hired, they’re not helping you at all. Which is not a great business practice
