I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Red Hat (New York, NY) in Mar 2012
Interview
Phone screen with recruiter, technical phone interview with a Sr. Consultant, and for the final interview, they flew me to NYC for a full day interview that consisted of a two hour long technical interview and hour+ long interviews with two different managers.
They paid for the flight, and told me I had to pay for everything else and that I would be reimbursed for all expenses. I submitted my receipts and they reimbursed me for about 1/3 of the real costs.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Red Hat (Tel Aviv) in Jun 2024
Interview
quick, simple and efficient - applying, interview and regional manager interview all in one week.
the technical interview touched many topics, mostly flowing from one to the next, focusing on my previous experiences and how i would function in the role.

Question 1
how would you react when a client has a very poorly designed project, and they won't accept your criticism?
Well defined process and takes place on Blue jeans their web conferencing tool. For my position had 3 rounds. Recruiter communicated well. Number of rounds and process will change from team to team . But you will have atleast one Technical round.
The company really cares about open source, having a couple projects in open source surely helps. The interviewers were friendly, helpful, and answered all my questions, I enjoyed the process.
