I applied online. I interviewed at Randstad US (Roanoke, VA) in May 2012
Interview
The online application process is fairly lengthy, and I suggest calling to follow up once you fill it all out. A personal contact there is invaluable, it seems. Keeping your name in front of them will help you find work.
The interview process itself was fairly simple. You come in the office for filling out the paperwork. My experience was that they depended on your resume to provide a good fit, so if you are applying for a specific job, you should make your resume reflect key terms in the job description.
Sometimes a specific company will request interviews, and these interviews will follow typical interview formats, in my experience. The interview and hiring process is as varied as the jobs they try to fill (and that is a huge variety).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I don't recall actual interview questions from Randstad. They leaned more toward keeping me comfortable and learning more about me in a casual way in the office, and then finding a good fit for me. The process here seems much more simple and comfortable than a typical nerve-wracking interview. It was more like a resume review to try to be sure they understood me and my capabilities.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Randstad US in Mar 2023
Interview
Several rounds with different levels of staff. Positive experience and prompt replies and setup for interview rounds. Standard format for each level of interview rounds. Great questions and great attitudes with everyone I spoke with.

Question 1
Several questions about duties and skill set. What are you looking for in your next position? Accomplishments?
The first step is via an automated messaging system and then a phone call is scheduled. They call and go over basic details, pretty much just clearing you to be interviewed by the company they represent.

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Randstad US (New York, NY)
Interview
Quick and easy talking about my background experience. Since this is an agency, they want to know what kind of experience you have as well as get a feel for your overall personality.
