I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ramp
Interview
I made it to the recruiter's first call screening. He was extremely prepared and seemed to have a good understanding of what the hiring manager was looking for. I did not have the exact experience they were looking for and I did not make it passed this stage.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself What tools do you use in your role now? Tell me about a time you had to give feedback to an employee not performing well. Have you ever had to put someone on PIP?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ramp in Feb 2022
Interview
The recruiter reached out to me initially about this opportunity when I was looking for a new job. I researched about the company, and thought it was a great company to work for. It was one of my top choices, but things had changed.. It all started off great and slowly went downhill afterward.
1 phone interview + 4 zoom interviews on different days.
During my last few rounds of Ramp interviews, I let the recruiter know that I was in the final stages of interviewing at other companies. She said she would speed up the process and reassured me that the 5th round was the final round and that I would expect to hear back within 2 days if I got the job or not.
I followed up 3 days later and she told me completely the opposite - that I would not expect to hear back for another 1-2 weeks because they still had to interview with other candidates in the pipeline. Fast forward to now, it's been a month and I still have yet to hear back.
Not to mention the presentation prompt was pretty heavy. I spent probably 6+ hours building my deck + creating the content. The written prompt was unnecessary since they could've asked me during those zoom interview, instead of typing out an essay like I was submitting an assignment to a college professor. It 100% felt like they were just trying to steal your ideas so they can implement them into their process.
Wasted my time and absolutely left a sour taste in my mouth.

They probably asked me about 50+ questions during the 5 interviews I had.
Hi there, thanks for taking the time to share more about interviewing with Ramp! We sincerely apologize for the friction you experienced while interviewing with us and we do take this feedback very seriously.
We strive to make our interview process smooth & want to allow candidates to showcase their skills through working on something similar to the work that they would be doing at Ramp. But, it definitely seems we have failed at doing that here. We will be taking this feedback directly to our recruiting team and sales team to ensure we can improve our interviews in the future.
Thanks again,
Ramp Recruiting
