Applied never heard anything. I have many years of experience and was contacted by a recruiter for the company. The way a company responds to potential employees speaks volumes. If they do not respect people enough to give them even the most basic rejection letter how will they respect you as an employee? Future contact will be ignored in kind.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at RTX (Boston, MA) in Nov 2017
Interview
I was flown in for a 2 day hiring invitational event. The first day involved mainly selling Raytheon to all of the candidates with a plant tour and various presentations. In the evening there was a networking event that allowed us candidates to meet all of the hiring managers. While it was a little hectic I definitely thought it was extremely useful in preparation for the interviews taking place on the second day. The interviews on the second day were all 30 minutes each resulting them feeling more like a casual conversation than an actual interview. Some candidates only had one interview while others had many more but having more or less isn't indicative of Raytheon's interest.
