I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at RTX (McLean, VA) in Aug 2019
Interview
Was called to an in person interview, across state lines with less than an hour to make the meeting. I outlined clearly what my availability was and that I was able to accommodate given email notice due to my current position's requirements. The distance to cover to make the interview would have taken me into a very busy city in less than an hour, during the lunch rush, from over 50 miles away.
When I attempted to reschedule due to the short notice, I was copied on an email that was derogatory and claimed that I was trying to scam the company and wasn't really interested in finding a position.
After that, they were right, I was no longer interested. Raytheon does good work, but this hiring manager/recruiter/whatever she was, did them no favors that day. But they haven't been anything but reliably awful in each interview chance I've given them either. Most of the time they are just dismissive if the resume isn't spot-on perfect, but sometimes it feels like going through an overly-expectant dating app to try and get a chance to be "graced" with an opportunity to meet with them. Too bad, the company has a good rep, but their hiring managers are awful.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at RTX (West Lafayette, IN) in Sep 2021
Interview
15 minute casual and semi-formal conversation with the manager about the role and current experience in relation to the resume, the expectations and end result from the role. Second round interview followed by Industrial Roundtable career fair.
Mostly based on resume and explaining the experience. My technology set matched but they needed more of defense related experience. This is like tricky situation . Unless you have experience or a fresh graduate there seems to be no path.

Question 1
Experience related questions mostly. So I do not have it
