I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RTX (Richardson, TX) in Jan 2024
Interview
I responded to an advertised job posting on LinkedIn and submitted to the opportunity via their online portal. One week later I received an email invitation to a one-way video interview with Hire Vue. I spent an hour prepping and recording my answer to each of the six questions. Approximately one more week passed, and an internal recruiter sent me a phone call invite for a quick 15-minute call. I knew immediately this was only to narrow down my compensation requirements. This question was asked in the one-way video interview, and I replied that my salary would be within the advertised range, which was posted on the role description. Guess what? The advertised range was not what they were looking to pay. This ended up becoming a complete waste of my time.
Tip: DO NOT post a wide salary range if your planned compensation is 50k below! Ridiculous.
One HR screen, then one interview with manager and several engineers (all 1-1). Interviews were through zoom (this was during peak Covid). HR reached out shortly after (maybe a week?) to say I would be receiving an offer.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RTX (Mexicali) in Jan 2024
Interview
The first approach was a telephone interview with human resources. Subsequently, a virtual interview was conducted with the hirevue app. Finally, a face-to-face panel interview was conducted with management and engineering where more technical issues regarding the position were discussed.
