I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at RTX (Tucson, AZ) in Aug 2016
Interview
Submitted my resume on their website, did a phone interview a few days later, went to Raytheon in Tucson to take a test for qualification, passed the test and did an interview in person. Hardest part is the test. Know your stuff.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What training and experience did I have. This is a technical job, not a customer service job. They want to make sure you know metrology and calibration.
I applied through other source. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at RTX (Pasadena, CA) in Oct 2015
Interview
I have had multiple interviews with various software managers within Raytheon. Every single one was very pleasant (light questioning and good atmosphere). I got my interviews by attending the HENAAC conference in Pasadena. Most of the questions dealt with OOP concepts. There were no gotcha questions or writing down of a segment of code.
Very conversational and fluid. Not stressful whatsoever! They are just trying to get to know you and see if you would be a good fit in their fast paced and team work environment.
