Applied online, received a request a few weeks later for a interview through InterviewStream (record your questions and send it in). You were able to redo your answers twice through this service which made the process less daunting.
Received an email a week later requesting a phone interview with a past CLDP.
A week after, received an email explaining a two day long interview process at Raytheon headquarters in Waltham, Mass. They flew us out and it proceeded with networking events and multiple interviews. Was set up very well and was an enjoyable process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain a time when you were on a team that failed; how did you distribute the blame
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RTX (Tucson, AZ) in Nov 2016
Interview
First was a phone call from the manager. Then he invited me to a large hiring event at the JW Marriot in Tucson, where they held their interviews and social event. The event was two days. The first day there was a tour of Raytheon and then after that a mixer to meet other managers in different groups in the company. You can potentially get more interviews from the mixer by giving your resume out to those different groups. The next day they had a breakfast before the interviews started. Then you wait for your interviewer to come get you and you go into a big ball room where small tables are partitioned off by curtains. You will have the one interview you were scheduled for and any other additional interviews you may have gotten from the night before. They were really fast in their response and let you know by the end of the day whether they will be extending an offer to you or not.
Note: I interviewed for an internship but they offered my a full time role after graduation and when I asked for an internship instead they couldn't offer me one because they filled the intern roles.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They mainly asked behavioral questions like, Tell us a time you have been on a team and worked out a conflict. Have you used any lab equipment before? STAR style questions.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at RTX (San Diego, CA) in Feb 2016
Interview
I applied online, got an email setting up a call maybe 3 months later, and then from there it proceeded quickly. Lived in San Diego so had an on-site interview within a week, and then got the job within a few days. The phone call had a few simple technical questions, as did the on-site interview. No whiteboard session. Met a few engineers during the on-site, and talked to them for maybe 20 minutes each about my experience at school and the kind of projects I worked on. They asked me if I had used certain technologies they are working with, most of them I had no experience with but I let them know I was excited to learn. Also got a tour of the facility which was cool. The technical questions were simple, basic OOP questions.
