I applied through college or university. I interviewed at RTX (El Segundo, CA) in Dec 2017
Interview
I interviewed on campus and received an onsite interview 2 months later in El Sengundo, CA. Interview questions focused on technical expertise, project experience, etc. The interviewers were all rushed for time and focused on asking questions so there was not much time to have a conversation/ask questions to the technical managers.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RTX (Chesapeake, VA) in Aug 2016
Interview
Interview was held via teleconference with 3 personell from Raytheon, each took turns asking questions about my experience, and accomplishments pertinent to the PATRIOT missle system and it's inherent shortcomings as well as its strengths in operation.

Question 1
What sequence of keys are pressed to access Switch 9 data?
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at RTX (Tucson, AZ) in Feb 2013
Interview
The interview process is more focused on behavioral questions. There is minimal technical rigor. Aerospace and defense is different enough that much of the work performed requires OJT, even if you have advanced college degrees. Because of that, they'll only question you on technical things if they don't believe your resume. It's usually behavioral. Communication skills are paramount.
