One hour of orientation, one hour of behavioral interview, one hour of technical interview. It was much easier than it sounds, the interviewers tailored the questions towards the work I have done, and were more interested in casually discussing what I have done rather than analyzing my every word. They cared a lot about what I wanted to do at the company, and were willing to find a fit for me.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at RTX (Tewksbury, MA) in Feb 2018
Interview
I applied to the financial analyst position in Tewskbury, MA in December of 2017. From submission to initial phone interview was ~one month followed by an invitation to fly me across country to meet them in person.
The interview was very basic, just the hiring manager and myself with mainly behavioral questions. The only analytical question I received was "walk me through some excel projects you have done in the past." Hiring manager was a great guy whom I got along with on a personal level and could have seen myself being friends with if I accepted the offer. I was offered the position almost two weeks later but ended up declining the offer specifically because it took so long and another company came in and offered me another position only a day after interviewing. It was a very difficult decision because I believed it would have been a great fit, however, the miscommunication and transparency with Raytheon ended up being the final factor.
