I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at RTX (Dallas, TX) in Dec 2018
Interview
It was mostly behavioral questions with 1-2 easy Java OOP questions. I applied through my school and was invited to an on-site meeting. 1:1 interview on campus with a Software Developer, very monotone gentleman, did not seem the slight bit interested in doing interviews.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at RTX (Plano, TX)
Interview
Referred by a friend that works here, which immediately set me up for an in-person interview. Was interviewed in a 'batch', where they bring in a bunch of other people that were referred, around 30, and led us to a room. Inside, it was set up sort of 'career fair' style, with different departments(hardware, software, systems, etc.) stationed at their own booths. Half of the group was led on a tour, while the rest roamed around talking to different departments, then switched. Everybody there was really nice and welcoming, and there is a good mix of personable and technically inclined people.
I applied online. I interviewed at RTX (El Segundo, CA) in Feb 2018
Interview
Phone interview with HR, phone interview with project manager. The HR person was very nice and responsive, but then suddenly they just completely stopped responding to me. Never heard back from them even when I was asking if I was still being considered. It was extremely frustrating.
