Was in contact with an HR representative who set up a 1:1 phone screen with a hiring manager. The call lasted about 30 minutes and was a typical interview. Talked briefly about the position then moved to OOP and C++ questions. Didn't ask about myself or any of my projects.
At the end of the interview, I asked what the next steps were. He said he had no idea of what the process was and wasn't sure what he was suppose to do. I never heard back from anyone.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at RTX (Tucson, AZ) in May 2019
Interview
They put us up in a nice hotel, but there were a lot of candidates for several different jobs. The first day there was a mandatory networking session, where we got to meet several different working groups.
The next day was interviews with several different teams of interviewers. They asked about my experience and schooling, making sure they were relevant to the type of work they wanted me to do. I interviewed with two teams, one seemed a bit adversarial, and the other was quite pleasant.
