I applied in-person. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at RTX (Portsmouth, RI) in Jul 2019
Interview
Poor experience interviewing for this company. Overall, the process took way too long, around 8 weeks. I have not used C++ in around 5 years but am well-versed in OOP, I had made that very clear in the two prior phone interviews and even when initially contacted by the recruiter. I flew 8 hours to Rhode Island and took 2 vacation days off of work, just to be asked very specific questions regarding C++ data structures. In no way did these questions judge my programming aptitude, learning ability, or IQ.
There were 4 different interviews on-site with 5 total people, one went poorly and the other 3 went well. Unfortunately, the one that went poorly was with a 20 year employee who was asking the C++ data structure questions about specific syntax.

I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at RTX (Andover, MA) in Jan 2019
Interview
Lengthy and multiple interviews, only to be informed of a hiring freeze. After a few weeks interviewing resumed and believed I was be strung along as a backup candidate. The experience leads me to believe they are very bureaucratic.
