I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at RTX (Fort Wayne, IN) in Apr 2009
Interview
I submitted on-line and received a screening call from an Engineer in about a week and a half. Two days later I received a call from HR asking me to come for an on-site interview. I opted to drive but they offered to fly me in the night before. The whole interview process took about four hours including HR and three engineers. Most of the questions were focused on whether I was willing to work in an environment where they had to fight frequent "fire drills" to keep projects on schedule. Some questions were on whether I had certain specific technical skills they were looking for.
HR was most concerned about having the correct information to do a background check. I have not heard back from them yet but expect to after the background check is complete.

Interview
I had a panel interview that went over only behavioral questions. There was no discussion of technical skills or experience. The last time I interviewed with Raytheon, I remember getting to talk about my technical experience and potential fit for the role. I am hoping this is not their new style.
