I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at RTX (Boston, MA) in Apr 2015
Interview
A week before the scheduled interview I emailed the recruiter who set it up asking why I had not received any details about the interview. The next day I sent another email asking the same thing since I did not get a response. The recruiter finally answered that there was no interview but she would recheck to see what was really happening. At the end of the day I received a phone call from an embarrassed recruiter saying that the interview was actually on and that she was sorry for the mixup.
The day of the interview there was a presentation of the company benefits. Then I had three separate interviews. Each was a relaxed conversational interview. Each one said that my background was exactly what they were looking for. At the end, after several remarks about my age, I was told that I was overqualified.
Applied online and got a call about 2 weeks later from a Hiring Manager. I had the phone screen with him. He asked about my experience, and pretty much went over my resume. He asked me if I was willing to travel, and told me that I would get a call to schedule an interview. I got an email a week later providing dates where the other hiring manager was available and I had my interview with him and another person through the phone. They asked me about my courses in school and job experience. No technical questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about your final semester project? How did you decide what each group member was in charge of when working in groups?
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at RTX in Jan 2013
Interview
The initial interview process was very quick and very simple. A single HR phone interview and then another with my technical manager. I took an internship with Raytheon and enjoyed the work I did but found that their culture was very old fashion compared to the regular Software Engineering culture today.

Question 1
No difficult technical questions and mostly consisted of HR questions and how well you would work with others based on your past work.
