RH Sales Associate interview questions

Very strange. Asked questions borderline on illegal about personal life, family, yet all phrased so they could get away with them. When calling my references they asked the same strange questions. My references said it was the weirdest reference check.

I was interviewed and hired in the same week! I submitted my application on a Monday and got a call back on the following day. I had my first interview with a Store Co-Leader two days after that. During the interview I was asked a wide range of questions. It was a very friendly and pleasant exchange that took no more than 20 minutes. It felt more like a conversation with a friend about the last year of my life. I was asked about my family, my hobbies and personal interests. The end the conversation was directed more towards my experiences and learnings in Design/Sales, my career trajectory and 5-10 year plan. I was then invited to a follow up interview the Friday of that same week by the Store's Leader. She was savvy, personable and direct and tested my skills and product knowledge. She finished the interview by ensuring that I understood the Resto Rules and Values and asked me if they would be a challenge for me. It was all so quick and I felt to warmly embraced. It felt so natural when they asked me to be part of the team at Flatiron. I was so excited to start work at a place that made me feel so well taken care of.
