The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Qualcomm in May 2012
Interview
I received an email with a couple of schedule options for the interview. So I chose to go to the interview on the next day.
Within one hour prior to the interview, I received an email request to re-schedule the interview for half an hour prior to our previous arrangement. Needless to say that I was neither expecting that nor had enough time/notice to make the appropriate changes.
As soon as I arrived at the interview I was informed that the interview would last only 15 min. I felt rushed through and left with most of my questions unanswered. I had never been in a situation like that before.
I was never contacted by the lady again.
Very disorganized.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Qualcomm in Jan 2012
Interview
Received notice that they wanted to schedule a phone screening interview. The interview was 40-45 minutes long. It was a pretty standard interview broken up by 5-10 minutes of introduction, 20-30 of technical questions, 5-10 min for questions I may have. The interviewer was very friendly and made me feel comfortable.
Be prepared to answer technical questions. Searching through glassdoor is great way to find out what type of questions you'll be asked. Many of the questions I was asked were posted on this site.

Interview
Initial communication is via phone interview. This went very well.
The interview process, setting up, travel, etc was very easy. Qualcomm makes it easy for people to come in.
The interview itself was a long process, my interviews started at 10:00 and did not end until 6:00 pm. This makes it a long day. Interview also went through lunch, which makes it difficult to eat and relax.
The questions and problem solving was not difficult, but without knowing exactly the type of person they are looking for, it is difficult to react to their questions.
